Minister Bushati holds meetings with counterparts of Indonesia, United Arab Emirates and Jordan

In the framework of his stay in New York and participation in the proceedings of the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ditmir  Bushati held bilateral meetings with his counterparts of Indonesia, United Arab Emirates and Jordan.

During the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi, parties confirmed the positive level of relations and the willingness to advance them.

Both Ministers discussed recent developments, the intensification of political dialogue and cooperation between both countries in all areas of interest. Minister Bushati asked his counterpart Marsudi that her country recognize the independent state of Kosovo, as an irreversible and consolidated reality.

At the end of the meeting, both ministers signed the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on visa waiver for holders of diplomatic and service passports, as well as a memorandum of understanding between both ministries on bilateral diplomatic consultations.

During the meeting with his United Arab Emirates counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, both ministers put the emphasis on the successful development of bilateral relations, with particular focus on economic cooperation projects.

Moreover, counterparts talked about enhancing cooperation in international organizations and focused on the latest international and regional developments, underlining the need to coordinate contributions in facing challenges which threaten peace and stability.

At the meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Nasser Judeh, parties praised the excellent political relations and underlined the need to identify opportunities with a view to further boost economic and business cooperation.

Ministers Bushati and Judeh noted the importance of cooperation between both countries in the framework of international organizations, as seen in the recent organization of the high level meeting on “Social Harmony for Sustainable Development: Promoting understanding and respect in a time of intolerance” 

At the end of the meeting, both Ministers signed the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on visa waiver for holders of diplomatic and service passports.
